Celebrating National Migrant Workers Day Through Digital Innovation and Teacher Training

Following the incredible momentum of our earlier programs, our latest full-day “Digital Empowerment for Filipino Educators” training on June 3, 2026, at the Amari Bangsaen was a powerful milestone. As the facilitator of this 8-hour immersive session, I am deeply honored to partner once again with the Department of Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Bangkok and OWWA Thailand to bring vital digital skills directly to educators in Chonburi province and nearby areas.

Government & Community Collaboration in Action

This special outreach activity, held in celebration of the 31st National Migrant Workers Day under the theme “Bayan, Bayani, Bayanihan,” highlighted our joint commitment to the professional advancement and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The success of this seminar was anchored on the strong support and leadership of Atty. Don Albert Philippe C. Pangcog (Labor Attaché, MWO-Bangkok) and Mr. Ronald A. Mina (Welfare Officer, OWWA-Bangkok). Through this collaboration, we provided a completely free, high-impact professional development experience—complete with meals and refreshments—ensuring our teachers could focus entirely on learning, networking, and growth.

A Comprehensive Digital Curriculum

Equipping teachers for a digital-first world requires practical, ready-to-use tools. Our full-day curriculum covered essential technology modules tailored specifically for modern educators:

  • AI for Educators: Leveraging ChatGPT and Gemini to streamline lesson planning, brainstorm creative activities, and boost administrative efficiency.

  • Professional Branding: Utilizing Canva to design standout resumes/CVs, cover letters, portfolios, and personal logos.

  • Smart Communication & Assessment: Mastering professional email signatures via Gmail alongside creating auto-graded quizzes and surveys using Google Forms.

  • Digital Presence: Building personal online portfolio websites via Google Sites to showcase teaching philosophies and achievements globally.

Strengthening Our Global Community

For me, these training sessions are about much more than software and tools; they are about building a resilient, highly competitive community. By combining my background in digital marketing and education with the resources of the Philippine government, we continue to create spaces where educators can thrive, connect, and elevate their craft.

I am deeply grateful for the Certificate of Recognition awarded to me during the event by Atty. Pangcog and Welfare Officer Mina. It stands as a proud testament to our shared mission of uplifting every educator in Thailand.

The Path Forward

Seeing the enthusiasm and engagement of the teachers at Amari Bangsaen fuels my commitment to expanding these programs. I look forward to many more opportunities to collaborate with institutions and government agencies dedicated to the digital empowerment of our community!
